Blue Islands was the most punctual UK airline in 2023, based on data from OAG, the leading data platform for the travel industry.
Rob Veron, Blue Islands CEO said, “We’re proud to provide reliable year-round regional connectivity for the Channel Islands and play our part in ensuring the islands’ socio-economic wellbeing. This result is testament to the dedication and continued efforts of our amazing team.”
78.4% of the 9,036 Blue Islands flights tracked by OAG during 2023 arrived on time* and includes any weather-related delays and cancellations. Virgin Atlantic (75.6%) and Loganair (70.9%) were placed second and third respectively from a total of nine UK airlines.
Rob added, “Safe and reliable on-time connectivity is a complex task; bringing together many elements, systems and entities for each flight. This is a particularly pleasing result given the data includes any weather-related disruption. While we can manage many of the factors affecting our on-time performance, there are many that are out of our control, particularly here in the islands.
